Role Overview



The Production Supervisor/Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the fabrication and production of PEB components at

Ferromonk Steel Structures Pvt. Ltd.

, ensuring timely execution, quality control, workforce management, and coordination with internal teams to meet project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Execution



Prepare and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules. Optimize manpower, machines, and material allocation for smooth workflow. Supervise all fabrication activities: CNC cutting, welding, fitting, assembly, and painting.

2. Quality Control



Ensure all PEB components meet approved drawings, QAP, and company quality standards. Conduct in-process inspections and reduce rework and rejection. Coordinate with QC for final inspections and approvals.

3. Process Monitoring & Control



Compare actual production output with targets and take corrective actions. Maintain production logs, rejection reports, and daily production sheets. Coordinate with maintenance for preventive and breakdown maintenance of machinery.

4. Material & Inventory Management



Monitor availability of steel plates, sections, consumables, and hardware. Ensure efficient nesting and material usage to reduce wastage. Work with Stores and Purchase to ensure uninterrupted material flow.

5. Team Supervision & Coordination



Lead and supervise welders, fitters, operators, and helpers on the shop floor. Conduct shift briefings, task assignments, and maintain discipline. Train staff on quality, safety, and fabrication standards.

6. Safety & Compliance



Enforce safety protocols and ensure usage of PPE by all workers. Ensure compliance with factory act regulations and internal policies. Promote safe work practices and conduct regular safety audits.

7. Coordination with Other Departments



Coordinate with Planning, Design, Quality, and Dispatch teams for smooth workflow. Ensure timely dispatch of fabricated components as per project/site requirements. Support logistics for packing, loading, and dispatch schedules.

8. Documentation & Reporting



Maintain production MIS, material consumption records, and manpower reports. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production performance reports. Report productivity, efficiency, and utilization to management.

Skills & Requirements



Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. 3-10 years of experience in PEB fabrication industry. Strong knowledge of welding, CNC machines, fabrication processes, and PEB manufacturing. Ability to read and interpret PEB fabrication drawings and BOM. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with ERP/production software and MS Office is preferred.
