- Control of the readiness of equipment & maintenance of the relationship within the framework of the company's established system of work with manufacturer, creation of tools for work with manufacturers, maintenance of the reports and analysis of the performance results of manufacturers.
Duties:
- Search for the best manufacturers in India who can be responsible for the production of thermomechanical equipment for nuclear power plants according to the projects of the Rosatom State Corporation;
- Conduct control visits to the factories of Indian manufacturers and check the readiness status of equipment in terms of its compliance with the latest schedules provided by the manufacturers;
- Identify, record and analyze the reasons for the discrepancy between manufacturers' schedules and the current status of the equipment;
- Search and develop tools to eliminate situations where the actual schedule from the manufacturer is not confirmed by the process at the plant;
- Monitor the execution of the contract on the part of the foreign partner, taking into account the methodology/system of the department;
- Maintain a system of interaction with partners, look for and implement ways to improve this system;
- Provide manufacturers with an understanding of the work procedure and principles of execution of contracts in the manufacture of equipment for nuclear power plants;
- Represent the interests of the company in negotiations with a foreign manufacturer, monitoring the principles of fairness towards the partner and the company.
Job description:
- Conduct control visits to the factories of Indian manufacturers and check the readiness status of equipment in terms of its compliance with the latest schedules provided by the manufacturers. Travelling to vendors places minimum 3 days per week (Mumbai, Pune, Sangli, Ahmedabad).
- Know how to use measuring instruments (calipers, conversion from inches to mm) and carry out visual & dimensional control. Know how to establish which equipment corresponds to the status "ready for inspection with the Customer".
- Identify, record and analyze the reasons for the discrepancy between manufacturers' schedules and the current status of the equipment;
- Suggest & discuss new ideas with ICP (International cooperation) team on how the equipment readiness could be checked without visiting the vendor place;
- Keep records of false commitments of the vendor that were revealed during a visit to the factory and together with ICP (International cooperation) team, come up with a tool to record such situations, keep records of them and find solutions that will be used in the future to prevent the discrepancy between schedule and real equipment readiness;
- Monitor the execution of the contract on the part of the Indian vendor, taking into account the methodology/system of the department. Usage of the RES Portal on the daily basis in order to make the comparison of the schedules and the real manufacturing statuses during the visit to the factory.
- Conduct witnessing the testing process at vendor place and control of QMS team (Quality department) comments completion on the reworked equipment at vendor place.
- Represent the interests of the company in negotiations with a foreign manufacturer, monitoring the principles of fairness towards the partner and the company. Creation of trusty relationship friendship with vendors and searching different ways to learn the actual statuses of equipment from the vendors.
