Production Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION - PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

The Production Supervisor will oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure smooth production of dairy products and sweets while maintaining quality, efficiency, and hygiene standards. The role involves managing production staff, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, monitoring equipment, and coordinating with quality control and maintenance teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise and manage daily production activities in the dairy and sweets manufacturing units. Ensure adherence to production schedules and optimize workflow for efficiency. Maintain strict product quality standards in line with company and FSSAI guidelines. Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance activities to avoid downtime. Train, guide, and supervise production staff to maintain productivity and discipline. Maintain accurate production records, inventory usage, and batch documentation. Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and sanitation guidelines across the production floor. Coordinate with the procurement, quality control, and warehouse teams for smooth operations. Identify process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce wastage.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Diploma/Degree in Dairy Technology, Food Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields. Additional certifications in food safety or production management will be an advantage.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills. Knowledge of dairy processing equipment, production workflows, and hygiene norms. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict timelines. Willingness to work in shifts as per production requirements.

LEVEL OF COMPUTER LITERACY REQUIRED

Basic to intermediate computer proficiency. Ability to use MS Excel, production reporting tools, and ERP systems (training can be provided).

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

2-5 years of experience in dairy, food processing, or manufacturing operations. Experience in supervising production teams is preferred.
