to oversee and manage the daily operations of our frozen food manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate should have hands-on industry experience, strong leadership qualities, and a clear understanding of production workflows, food safety standards, and process efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Management
Oversee and coordinate all daily production activities to achieve planned output and meet production targets.
Allocate manpower based on production schedules and ensure efficient deployment of resources.
Monitor process flow, ensure smooth operation of machines, and minimize downtime.
Verify that each batch is produced as per standard recipes, process parameters, and quality standards.
2. Quality & Food Safety Compliance
Ensure all products meet the company's quality specifications and food safety requirements.
Maintain hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety across the production area.
Ensure compliance with FSSAI, GMP, HACCP, and other food safety standards.
Coordinate with the Quality Department for inspections, corrective actions, and documentation.
3. Equipment & Maintenance Coordination
Monitor the performance of production machinery and equipment.
Report breakdowns immediately and coordinate with the maintenance team for quick resolution.
Ensure daily machine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
4. Material Handling & Inventory Coordination
Ensure proper usage of raw materials as per daily production plans.
Monitor wastage levels and implement measures to reduce losses.
Coordinate with the stores and supply chain team for timely availability of raw materials, packing items, and consumables.
5. Reporting & Documentation
Maintain accurate daily production records, including output, wastage, manpower, and downtime.
Prepare shift reports, production summaries, and update checklists as required.
Ensure documentation is completed as per company SOPs and audit standards.
6. Team Leadership & Development
Supervise operators and production workers across shifts.
Provide training, guidance, and skill development to team members.
Maintain discipline, ensure adherence to company policies, and manage shift-related manpower issues.
Promote a positive and productive work environment.
7. Compliance & Safety
Ensure workers follow PPE requirements and workplace safety practices.
Conduct periodic safety briefings and ensure safe handling of equipment and materials.
Report any accidents, near misses, or safety concerns to management.
Requirements
Minimum 2
years of experience
in frozen food manufacturing (required).
Diploma/ITI/Graduate in Food Technology, Production, or a related field (preferred).
Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage shift operations independently.
Knowledge of food safety standards and production SOPs.
Basic computer knowledge
, including proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and email for daily reporting and documentation. Must be able to prepare production reports, update records, and communicate effectively through email. Knowledge of
ERP or Production Software
will be an added advantage.
