Job Description

Production Planning & Execution



?

Daily Target Achievement:

Execute daily production schedules to meet dispatch targets (e.g., specific number of bricks/blocks per shift). ?

Cycle Time Optimization:

Monitor the vibro-press or hydraulic machine cycle times to ensure maximum output without compromising machine health. ?

Shift Management:

Organize shift rosters, ensuring machines are manned 24/7 (if applicable) or during peak hours without gaps. ?

Process Flow Control:

Oversee the entire line from raw material feeding (pan mixer) to the conveyor belt, pressing, and stacking.
?

2. Quality Control (QC)



?

Mix Design Adherence:

Strictly enforce the mandated mix ratios of

Fly Ash, Cement, Sand/Stone Dust, and Grit

. Ensure water-cement ratio is consistent to prevent breakage. ?

Color & Finish (Pavers):

Monitor the "Face Mix" (top layer) for paver blocks to ensure consistent pigmentation and smooth finish. ?

Dimensional Accuracy:

Regularly measure product dimensions (height and thickness) using Vernier calipers to ensure they meet IS codes (e.g., IS 15658 for pavers, IS 12894 for fly ash bricks). ?

Curing Supervision:

Ensure stacked bricks/blocks receive adequate water curing (mist or immersion) for the required duration (usually 7-21 days) to achieve target compressive strength.

3. Raw Material & Inventory Management



?

Material Availability:

Check stock levels of cement, fly ash, and pigments at the start of every shift to prevent line stoppages. ?

Wastage Control:

Minimize breakage during "Green Brick" (wet/fresh brick) handling and stacking. ?

Rejection Analysis:

Track the percentage of rejected bricks daily and investigate root causes (e.g., low hydraulic pressure, bad mix).
?

4. Machine Maintenance & Troubleshooting



?

Preventive Maintenance:

Schedule daily cleaning of the Pan Mixer (to prevent concrete hardening inside) and greasing of moving parts on the Press Machine. ?

Minor Repairs:

Supervise the changing of molds (e.g., switching from Zig-Zag to I-Shape pavers) and hydraulic oil level checks. ?

Downtime Reporting:

Log machine breakdown hours and coordinate with the mechanical technician for immediate repairs.
?

5. Labor Management & Safety



?

Task Allocation:

Assign specific duties to unskilled labor (e.g., material feeding, pallet shifting, stacking). ?

Productivity Monitoring:

Ensure laborers are stacking bricks efficiently to clear pallets for the next cycle. ?

Safety Compliance:

Enforce the use of PPE (gloves, masks for dust, safety shoes) and ensure safety guards are active on conveyor belts and mixers.
?

6. Documentation & Reporting



?

Daily Production Report (DPR):

Submit a daily report detailing: ?Total Production (Qty). ?Cement/Fly ash consumption. ?Breakage/Rejection count. ?Machine running hours vs. downtime.

Success Metrics (KPIs) for this Role



?

Production Efficiency:

>90% achievement of installed capacity. ?

Rejection Rate:

Maintenance of rejection below 2%. ?

Cement Consumption:

Adherence to the defined "Per Brick Cost" (preventing over-usage of cement).

Pay: ₹9,746.65 - ₹29,378.77 per month
