PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR - Role Overview

The Production Supervisor will receive production targets from management specifying materials to be manufactured and required quantities, then ensure all deliverables are completed on time with the expected quality standards. This role involves overseeing all plant manpower, monitoring machine operations, ensuring proper maintenance schedules are followed, and implementing 5S principles across the production floor. The supervisor must maintain a continuous improvement mindset focused on enhancing plant efficiency, productivity, and operational excellence. Proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel for tracking production metrics, along with basic internet usage, is essential for reporting and documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Receive production targets from management and communicate deliverables (materials, quantities, timelines) to the production team Monitor production progress and ensure all jobs are completed on schedule with required quality standards Oversee all plant manpower, assign tasks, and manage workforce productivity and performance Ensure machines are properly maintained and maintenance schedules are followed to minimize downtime Implement and maintain 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) across the production floor Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in plant operations Generate production reports and track KPIs using Google Sheets and Excel Maintain a mindset of continuous improvement and drive efficiency initiatives

BASIC MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

ITI Diploma in manufacturing/engineering trades 2-5 years of production/shopfloor supervisory experience (fresher with strong technical background may be considered) Proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel for data tracking and reporting Basic computer and internet usage skills Strong knowledge of machine operations, maintenance protocols, and manufacturing processes Familiarity with 5S methodology and quality management principles Leadership ability to manage and motivate production teams Problem-solving mindset with focus on continuous improvement and efficiency
