The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations within the FMCG production facility. This role ensures production targets are met with high quality, efficiency, safety, and compliance standards. The supervisor leads and motivates production teams, coordinates with cross-functional departments, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Management
Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities to achieve output targets.
Ensure optimal use of manpower, materials, and machinery.
Monitor line performance and promptly address bottlenecks or downtime issues.
Execute production schedules in coordination with planning and supply chain teams.
2. Quality Assurance
Ensure all products are manufactured according to quality standards and specifications.
Conduct regular in-process quality checks and coordinate with QA teams for inspections.
Investigate and correct quality deviations or non-conformities.
3. People Management
Lead, train, and motivate production staff to meet productivity goals.
Monitor employee performance and enforce discipline and work standards.
Conduct shift briefings and ensure proper handover between shifts.
4. Safety & Compliance
Enforce all workplace safety rules and ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, ISO, and other industry standards.
Conduct safety audits, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.
Promote a clean and hygienic work environment.
5. Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities for process improvement and waste reduction.
Participate in Kaizen, Lean, or Six Sigma initiatives.
Monitor KPIs such as OEE, waste %, downtime, and labor efficiency.
6. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate shift production reports, logs, and operational records.
Ensure documentation is updated as per SOPs and regulatory requirements.
Report production performance, issues, and corrective actions to management.
Required Skills:
.Diploma / ITI / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related engineering field.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
3-7 years of experience in FMCG manufacturing (food, beverage, personal care, household products, etc.).
Prior experience supervising shop-floor teams.
