Team and workflow management:

Recruit, train, and manage a production team, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and maintaining a positive work environment.

Production planning and scheduling:

Develop and implement production schedules to meet deadlines and customer demand, and adjust as needed to resolve issues.

Quality and safety assurance:

Ensure that all products meet quality standards and that all operations comply with health and safety regulations.

Process monitoring and improvement:

Oversee production processes and equipment, identify issues, and implement improvements to boost productivity, reduce costs, and enhance quality.

Inventory and resource management:

Maintain adequate inventory levels of materials and ensure the efficient allocation of resources, including manpower and equipment.

Data and reporting:

Track production data, maintain logbooks and ERP entries, and report on shift production summaries.
Key skills and qualifications

Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills. Problem-solving and multitasking abilities. Understanding of production processes, materials, and equipment. Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations. Familiarity with manufacturing technologies and software, such as Lean or Six Sigma principles, ERP, and MES is a plus. A degree in a related field like manufacturing or industrial engineering is often required, along with several years of relevant experience.
