Phantom Hands is a Bangalore based furniture company and brand. We make very high quality furniture for the global market, mainly using hardwoods like teak.

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Production Supervisor to join our team and oversee the woodworking unit.

Experience in a furniture production set-up is essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

Day to day supervision of the carpentry shop floor to ensure that processes, safety procedures and guidelines are followed. Planning and scheduling work to carpenters based on the order pipeline. Material planning, sourcing and preparation- especially wood procurement and seasoning. Monitoring efficiency of production and making sure that delivery is as per committed schedules. Quality control at each stage of production - including proper use of templates, adequate gluing time, correct joinery techniques, etc. Managing a team of skilled carpenters - enforcing discipline and sorting out HR issues. Machinery maintenance and ensuring timely service.

Profile:

10+ years experience in a furniture manufacturing or woodworking production unit with at least two years of supervisory experience of managing a team. In-depth knowledge of materials (especially wood) and manufacturing processes. Ability to read and understand CAD drawings. Good written communication skills. Ability to work with high precision and great detail.

Work Location

The work location will be our workshop in

Abbigere industrial area, Jalahalli, Bangalore.
