Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, managing shop-floor manpower, ensuring quality standards, meeting production targets, and maintaining safety and discipline in the production area.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily production operations and ensure work is completed as per production plan Allocate work to operators, carpenters, painters, machine operators, etc. Monitor productivity, efficiency, and output quality Ensure production targets and timelines are met Coordinate with Quality, Stores, Design, and Maintenance teams Ensure raw material availability and proper material utilization Maintain production records, attendance, and daily progress reports Identify and resolve production issues and bottlenecks Ensure safety rules, 5S, and housekeeping standards are followed Train and guide workers for skill improvement and process compliance Reduce wastage, rework, and downtime

Quality & Safety Responsibilities

Ensure products meet approved drawings, samples, and quality standards Conduct in-process quality checks Ensure safe use of machines, tools, and equipment Report accidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions immediately

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong shop-floor supervision and manpower handling skills Basic understanding of production processes and workflows Ability to read drawings / work instructions (preferred) Problem-solving and decision-making skills Good communication and coordination skills Knowledge of safety and quality standards

Educational Qualification

Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Production / relevant field Practical shop-floor experience preferred over pure academics

Experience Required

0-3 years

of experience in production supervision Experience in

Interior / Furniture / Manufacturing / Fabrication

preferred
