Urgent hiring Production Supervisor for Manufacturer of Pumps and Valves

Location - Bakrol, Ahmedabad

Key responsibilities

Production oversight:

Supervise and coordinate the daily manufacturing operations for the assembly, testing, and finishing of pumps and valves.

Planning and scheduling:

Develop and implement daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer delivery timelines and optimize resource allocation.

Quality control:

Enforce quality standards and protocols throughout the production process, from the initial machining to final inspection and testing. Inspect products for compliance with specifications and industry standards like ASME, API, and ISO. Address and resolve non-conformities and quality-related issues in coordination with the Quality Assurance team.

Team leadership and development:

Guide, train, and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork. Manage employee performance, including providing feedback, conducting evaluations, and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Operational excellence:

Monitor and analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for process improvement. Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen. Oversee preventive and corrective equipment maintenance to minimize downtime.

Safety compliance:

Implement and enforce all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety audits, address potential hazards, and report incidents.

Cross-functional coordination:

Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, maintenance, and supply chain, to resolve production issues and ensure a smooth workflow. Maintain accurate production records, inventory levels, and labor hours for management reporting. Qualifications and skills

Education:

A bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field is typically preferred.

Experience:

Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment. Prior experience in the pump and valve industry, especially in assembly and testing, is a significant advantage.

Technical knowledge:

In-depth understanding of pump and valve manufacturing processes, including assembly and pressure testing. Familiarity with industry-relevant standards (e.g., ASME, API) and quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001). Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
