Profile - Production Supervisor / Assistant



Qualification - B.Tech / Diploma / ITI - Electrical



Experience- Min. 3+ yrs. as a Production Supervisor / Assistant in Electrical Industry with must knowledge of HT Panels , LT Panels , Bus Duct, Transformer , electrical goods etc..

1. Production Planning & Execution



Plan daily and weekly production schedules based on orders and priority. Allocate manpower, materials, and resources to meet production targets. Ensure timely execution of assembly, wiring, testing, and dispatch of HT/LT panels, bus ducts, transformers, etc. Monitor workflow and eliminate production bottlenecks.

2. Shop Floor Supervision



Supervise technicians, assemblers, and wiring teams on the shop floor. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) during panel fabrication, bus bar work, wiring, and testing. Coordinate with design, quality, and purchase departments for smooth production.

3. Material & Inventory Management



Check availability of raw materials like switchgear components, copper busbars, sheet metal enclosures, control wiring accessories, etc. Raise material requisitions and track shortages to avoid production delays. Verify inward material quality and ensure proper storage.

4. Quality Assurance & Compliance



Ensure all assemblies comply with relevant standards (IEC/IS). Inspect HT/LT panels, bus ducts, and transformers during different stages of production. Coordinate for FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and address non-conformities. Implement continuous improvement to reduce defects and rework.

5. Technical Knowledge & Support



Read and interpret electrical drawings, panel GA diagrams, wiring diagrams, and SLDs. Guide team in busbar fabrication, wiring layouts, CT/PT connections, relay settings, etc. Oversee testing activities: insulation resistance, high-voltage test, continuity test, functional test.

6. Safety Management



Ensure compliance to electrical and shop-floor safety standards. Conduct toolbox talks and train workers on PPE usage. Identify hazards and implement corrective actions.

7. Coordination & Reporting



Coordinate with purchase, design, QA, and logistics teams for smooth workflow. Prepare daily production reports, manpower utilization reports, and material consumption records. Report delays, issues, and progress to Production Manager/Plant Head.

8. Team Management & Training



Allocate jobs to operators and technicians based on skill level. Train new workers on wiring, panel assembly, busbar fabrication, etc. Maintain discipline and build a productive work environment.

9. Cost Control & Efficiency



Monitor material usage, reduce waste, and control production cost. Ensure optimal use of manpower and resources. Suggest process improvements and implement lean manufacturing practices.

10. Dispatch & Final Documentation



Ensure panels and equipment are cleaned, labeled, packed, and ready for dispatch. Verify final documentation like test reports, Quality checklists, and BOQs.
