Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet production schedules and quality standards. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations. Plan, organize, and control production to ensure optimal use of manpower, materials, and machinery. Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions for process improvements. Train, motivate, and evaluate production team members to achieve departmental objectives. Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation. Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth operations. Analyse production data and metrics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen. Manage inventory of raw materials and finished goods to minimize waste and downtime. Ensure machinery and equipment are properly maintained and serviced. Support management in implementing new processes, equipment, or systems.

Key Skills and Competencies:

Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Good understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement techniques. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in MS Office and production management software (e.g., ERP, SAP, or similar). Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical / Industrial / Production Engineering or related field. Certification in production management, Lean, or Six Sigma (preferred).

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role. Experience in [specify industry, e.g., automotive, FMCG, textile, or food processing] is an added advantage.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed primarily on the production floor. May require working in shifts or weekends as per production demands. Physical activities include standing for long periods and monitoring machinery operations.
