The Supervisor - Door Manufacturing is responsible for overseeing daily production operations in the door manufacturing unit. This role ensures that manufacturing processes are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards. The supervisor coordinates manpower, monitors workflow, and ensures timely completion of production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Management
Supervise daily operations in door manufacturing including cutting, assembling, pressing, polishing, and finishing.
Plan and allocate manpower to meet production schedules.
Ensure all production activities adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Coordinate with QC, store, and dispatch teams for smooth workflow.
Quality Control
Ensure all doors are manufactured as per approved design and specifications.
Identify and rectify production errors or defects immediately.
Work closely with the QC team to maintain product quality standards.
Resource & Equipment Management
Monitor the proper use and maintenance of machines and tools.
Report any equipment breakdowns and ensure timely repairs.
Manage material usage to minimize wastage.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce workplace safety policies and procedures.
Conduct regular safety checks and ensure compliance with factory regulations.
Team Management
Supervise and guide production workers, ensuring discipline and efficiency.
Provide on-the-job training to operators and helpers.
Maintain attendance and performance records of team members.
Reporting
Submit daily production reports to the Production Manager.
Highlight production delays, manpower shortages, or material issues promptly.
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma or ITI in Mechanical / Wood Technology / Production Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing or related wood/furniture production.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tools, and materials used in door production.
Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet production deadlines.
