Qualification:

B.Sc. (Chemistry)

or equivalent degree.

Experience:

4-5 years

of relevant experience in the

Production Department

of a

Chemical or Process Industry

.

Job Responsibilities:

Supervise day-to-day production activities to ensure smooth plant operation and achievement of production targets. Monitor process parameters, batch operations, and maintain process discipline as per SOPs. Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards during all production activities. Coordinate with the Quality Control, Maintenance, and Stores departments for seamless workflow. Maintain proper production records, logbooks, and daily reports. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and minimize wastage. Train and guide plant operators and contract manpower on safe work practices and process operations. Ensure proper handling and storage of raw materials and finished goods. Participate in root-cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective actions. Support the Production Manager in planning and executing production schedules.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of chemical process operations and batch handling. Understanding of production safety and environmental compliance. Leadership and team management skills. Good communication and coordination ability. Basic knowledge of MS Office and production reporting systems.
