The Production Sales Executive is responsible for generating sales of building materials while coordinating closely with the production team to ensure timely manufacturing, dispatch, and delivery. Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Business Development
Identify and acquire new customers: contractors, builders, dealers, architects, and project consultants.
Conduct field visits to promote building material products.
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Provide product demonstrations and technical explanations to clients.
2. Production Coordination
Coordinate with the production department to understand daily output, stock levels, and production schedules.
Communicate customer requirements and order timelines to production and dispatch teams.
Ensure timely delivery of goods by tracking production, quality checks, and dispatch.
3. Client Relationship Management
Maintain regular communication with dealers, distributors, and project sites.
Handle customer queries, complaints, and after-sales support.
Build long-term business relationships to ensure repeat orders.
4. Market & Competitor Analysis
Gather market intelligence related to pricing, competitor products, and demand trends.
Identify opportunities in new construction projects or expanding geographies.
Recommend new product development ideas based on market needs.
5. Reporting & Documentation
Maintain daily sales reports, visit logs, and order tracking sheets.
Prepare monthly forecasts and sales projections.
Ensure accurate billing, dispatch documentation, and follow-up on payments.
Skills & Competencies
Good communication and negotiation skills
Strong understanding of building materials (cement, RMC, steel, blocks, tiles, etc.)
Ability to read basic technical drawings/specifications
Field sales experience
Coordination and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM tools, and reporting
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business, Civil Engineering, or related fields)
1-5 years of experience in building materials sales
Experience working with production/manufacturing units is an advantage
