To ensure uninterrupted and efficient production by integrating production planning, material availability, stores management, and purchase coordination, while maintaining optimal inventory levels and timely dispatches.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on sales orders and forecasts.
Ensure optimal utilization of machines, manpower, and raw materials.
Align production schedules with delivery commitments.
Revise plans in case of urgent orders, breakdowns, or material constraints.
2. Production Coordination
Coordinate with plant supervisors and shift in-charges for execution of production plans.
Monitor production progress and address operational issues.
Coordinate with maintenance for machine availability and downtime planning.
Ensure smooth shift-wise handover and production continuity.
3. Stores Management
Maintain accurate records of raw material, packing material, consumables, and finished goods.
Ensure proper inward, storage, and issue of material as per production plan.
Monitor stock levels and avoid overstocking or stock-outs.
Ensure FIFO / FEFO practices where applicable.
Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile with records.
Maintain gate entry, issue slips, and stock registers.
4. Purchase Planning & Coordination
Plan material procurement in line with production requirements and inventory levels.
Raise purchase requisitions and follow up with purchase team/vendors for timely supply.
Coordinate with vendors for delivery schedules, quality, and quantity.
Track pending POs and escalate delays to management.
Support cost control by avoiding emergency purchases and excess inventory.
5. Dispatch & Sales Coordination
Coordinate with dispatch/logistics for timely delivery of finished goods.
Share daily production, stock, and dispatch status with sales and management.
Prioritize production and dispatch based on customer urgency.
6. Documentation & MIS
Maintain production plans, stock statements, purchase tracking sheets, and MIS reports.
Track production vs plan, material consumption, and inventory movement.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
7. Quality, Safety & Compliance
Coordinate with Quality team to ensure raw material and finished goods meet standards.
Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety guidelines, and statutory requirements.
Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong planning, coordination, and inventory management skills
Knowledge of SSP / manufacturing processes
Proficiency in Excel, ERP, and inventory systems
Vendor coordination and follow-up skills
Analytical and problem-solving ability
Qualification & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Production / Operations / Supply Chain
2-5 years of experience in PPC, Stores, or Purchase coordination in a manufacturing setup (SSP preferred)
