1. Role Summary

The Production Planning Executive is responsible for preparing daily, weekly, and monthly production plans, monitoring material availability, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring efficient utilization of manpower, machines, and resources to meet customer delivery timelines.

2. Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production plans based on sales orders, forecast, and inventory levels. Allocate production loads to different lines (Assembly, Press Shop, Welding, Calibration, Testing, Packaging). Monitor WIP and ensure smooth flow of materials across all production stages. Create job orders / work orders and align them with machine capacity. Material Planning & Coordination Coordinate with Stores & Purchase for material availability (plastics, metal parts, springs, coils, terminals, components, etc.). Track shortages and update production on material readiness. Maintain minimum stock and reorder level reports. Production Control Monitor actual production vs. planned output and highlight variances. Ensure machines are optimally utilized with minimum downtime. Assist in line balancing and capacity enhancement initiatives. Prepare daily production reports, shift reports, and utilization charts. Cross-Functional Collaboration Coordinate closely with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and Dispatch teams. Ensure timely handover of finished goods for QC inspection and dispatch. Participate in daily production review meetings. Data Management & Documentation Maintain production schedules, routing sheets, and BOM accuracy. Update ERP/MIS tools for production entries, material consumption, and WIP. Generate monthly MIS reports for management review. Quality & Compliance Ensure production plans align with quality standards and customer requirements. Support implementation of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and safety practices.
3. Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes (MCB/RCCB/ELCB components). Understanding of BOM, routing, cycle time, line balancing, and capacity planning. Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems (Tally Prime Manufacturing). Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent coordination, communication, and follow-up abilities.
