Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on buyer delivery schedules. Coordinate with merchandising, cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing departments. Plan machine loading as per capacity and style complexity. Maintain Time & Action (T&A) calendar for each order. Monitor production progress against plan and highlight any delays. Analyze capacity availability and allocate manpower accordingly. Coordinate with stores and purchase teams for fabric and trims readiness. Ensure all materials and approvals are available before production start. Track line efficiency, productivity, and WIP (Work In Progress). Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions. Communicate daily production status to management. Support management in achieving monthly production and delivery targets. Maintain and update production-related MIS and reports. Review daily output and take corrective measures for deviations. Work closely with QA and merchandising teams to solve production issues. Ensure smooth flow of production across departments. Follow lean manufacturing practices and process improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate records for audits and compliance. Attend production review meetings and present status reports. Support the team in achieving operational excellence and on-time delivery.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing process (cutting to packing). Good understanding of capacity planning and production scheduling. Proficiency in Excel, ERP, or planning tools. Analytical and problem-solving ability. Excellent coordination and communication skills. Team handling and leadership capability. Knowledge of lean manufacturing and process improvement methods.

Qualification:

Diploma / Degree in Textile, Garment Technology, Industrial Engineering, or Production Management. Preferred: Certification or training in Production Planning or Lean Techniques.
