Job Profile: Production & Planning Engineer (Transformer Manufacturing)

Role Overview:

The Production & Planning Engineer in transformer manufacturing is responsible for overseeing the efficient production and timely delivery of transformers. This role involves planning, scheduling, and coordinating manufacturing processes while ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and adherence to project timelines. The engineer works closely with the production team, quality control, procurement, and logistics to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning:

Develop and manage production schedules, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and delivery timelines.

Resource Allocation:

Allocate resources effectively, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to meet production targets.

Process Optimization:

Monitor and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost control, and quality assurance.

Quality Control:

Ensure that all transformers are manufactured in compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Inventory Management:

Oversee the management of raw materials, components, and finished goods inventory to prevent delays.

Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving:

Address and resolve any production issues or bottlenecks to minimize downtime and disruptions.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, quality control, and maintenance, to ensure smooth production flow.

Reporting:

Prepare regular reports on production progress, resource utilization, and potential delays for senior management.

Continuous Improvement:

Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, product quality, and cost efficiency.
