Job Opening for Production & Planning Engineer

Position :- Production & Planning Engineer

Qualification :-B-Tech in Mechanical , Metallurgy, or any Graduate,

Experience :

- 2

Year to 5 Year

Salary :- 15k to 30k per month

Roles & Responsibilities:

1.

Planning and Coordination:

Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand and company monthly targets keeping in mind optimizing resources and minimizing costs.

Coordinate with various departments such as production, procurement, and logistics to ensure smooth execution of plans.

Monitor and track production schedules, identifying potential bottlenecks and proposing solutions to ensure timely delivery of products.

2. Inventory Management:

Optimize inventory levels by balancing between customer demand, production capacity, and lead times.

Keep a track of Inventory Days also quality parameters as specified by company and customer.

Implement inventory control measures to minimize excess or obsolete inventory while ensuring product availability.

Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies to maintain inventory accuracy.

3. Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvement in production planning, inventory management, and supply chain operations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements and streamline workflows.

Continuously monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to planning and inventory management, proposing corrective actions as needed.

4. Reporting and Analysis:

Generate daily reports on production performance, inventory levels, and other relevant metrics for management review in the form of MIS.

Conduct root cause analysis for variances and deviations from plans, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for optimization.

5. Compliance and Quality Assurance:

Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards in all planning activities.

Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain product quality and reliability throughout the planning process.

Participate in internal and external audits, providing documentation and support as required.

6. Cross-functional Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, sales, and finance to align planning activities with organizational goals.

Foster a collaborative and cooperative work environment, facilitating communication and teamwork across departments.

Support other departments with planning-related tasks and initiatives as needed.

Required Candidate profile:

Experience from production/ Production Planning in Manufacturing company
Prior experience as a Planning Executive

Should have experience handling large volumes with variety of Processes involved

Knowledge of Pickling Phosphating & Sph Annealing will be added advantage

Excellent communication and listening skills

Excellent computer skills (MS Word, PPT, Excel)

B-Tech in Mechanical , Metallurgy, or any Graduate, with 3-7 year experience in planning ( Steel industries experience will be added advantage

Organizational and Leadership abilities

Should be residing in or nearby
