Receive Work Orders (WO) from Sales/Marketing and RPO from Design (via ERP).
Prepare detailed production plans for each project/machine.
Break down plans into daily/weekly/monthly schedules.
Create Gantt charts, dashboards, and trackers for production monitoring.
Update plan vs actual performance reports regularly.
B. Coordination & Follow-Up
Coordinate with the Design team for final drawings and BOM release.
Work with Purchase and Stores to ensure timely material availability.
Follow up with QC for inspection clearance at each stage.
Act as a communication bridge between Production Head and support functions (Design, Purchase, QC, Store, etc.).
C. Resource & Manpower Planning
Suggest manpower allocation requirements to Production Head.
Track shift planning and skill mapping of manpower (fitters, welders, electricians, etc.).
Raise alerts for manpower shortage or skill gaps to HR.
D. Inventory & Material Management
Monitor BOM consumption and update shortage lists.
Track long-lead/critical items (PLC, Servo, Motors, HMIs).
Raise material follow-up notes and coordinate with Purchase for expediting.
Maintain minimum buffer stock of standard modules/parts.
E. Parallel Execution & Modular Approach
Plan sub-assembly (SA) work in parallel wherever dependencies are low.
Maintain tracker for modular design execution and final customization.
Monitor SOP adherence in assembly stages.
F. Monitoring & Reporting
Real-time monitoring of production status (ERP dashboards/trackers).
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports (Plan vs Actual, Material Shortage, Delay Reasons).
Escalate critical bottlenecks to Production Head with solution proposals.
G. Trial & Testing Support
Plan trial schedules (dry, wet, FAT readiness).
Ensure required resources and materials are available for trials.
Maintain record of trial results and feedback for future analysis.
H. Cost & Time Optimization
Analyse production delays, prepare RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
Suggest corrective/preventive actions to minimize rework.
Propose outsourcing/subcontracting for time or cost optimization.
Skills & Competencies Required
Strong knowledge of ERP (Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central preferred).
Proficiency in MS Excel/Project for scheduling.
Analytical mindset for cost/time optimization.
Good cross-departmental coordination and communication.
Problem-solving approach with hands-on understanding of manufacturing flow.
