The PPC Incharge will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and controlling production activities on the shop floor. The role requires strong process knowledge in manufacturing, stores, purchase, and SAP B1 (including MRP run). The candidate will coordinate daily with production, stores, and purchase teams for material planning and ensure smooth execution of production orders.
Key Responsibilities:1. Production Planning & Scheduling
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and capacity.
Release production orders/work orders in SAP B1.
Monitor WIP (Work-in-Progress) and ensure timely completion of production activities.
Coordinate with shop floor supervisors for execution of production schedules.
2. SAP B1 - MRP & Production Transactions
Run
MRP
in SAP B1 for material requirement analysis.
Generate MRP recommendations and coordinate with purchase/stores for procurement actions.
Create, update, and close Production Orders in SAP B1.
Monitor BOM consumption and material variance in SAP.
3. Day-to-Day Material Planning
Coordinate closely with stores for raw material and consumable availability.
Share daily material requirement lists with stores and production teams.
Track shortages and follow up with purchase department for timely supply.
Ensure materials are issued to production as per plan.
4. Cross-Functional Coordination
Work with
Manufacturing, Stores, Purchase, Quality
, and
Dispatch
teams.
Ensure smooth workflow and eliminate delays in production due to material shortages.
Support purchase with material priority lists based on production deadlines.
5. Store Management Support (SAP B1)
Maintain oversight on store accuracy and inventory levels through SAP B1.
Monitor stock updates, material issues, and receipts daily.
Verify stock status and raise PRs (Purchase Requests) when required.
Conduct periodic reconciliation with stores for material movement accuracy.
6. Process Monitoring & Reporting
Prepare daily production status reports, output reports, and material consumption reports.
Track actual vs. planned production and highlight deviations.
Maintain planning documents, production logs, and SAP-based MIS reports.
7. Manufacturing Process Knowledge
Understand BOM (Bill of Materials), Routing, cycle time, and process flow.
Ensure correct material allocation and sequencing on shop floor.
Support continuous improvement initiatives for productivity and efficiency.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of
Production Planning & Control
in a manufacturing environment
Hands-on experience in
SAP B1 - MRP, Production Module, Inventory Module
Good understanding of
Manufacturing, Stores, Purchase flow
Ability to read BOM, Production Orders, and material consumption reports
Strong communication, planning, and coordination skills
Ability to work with shop floor teams and ensure timely execution
Qualification:
BE / Diploma (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Production) or Any Degree
SAP B1 Certification (preferred but not mandatory)
3-7 Years (Manufacturing Industry Mandatory)
