Role Overview

The Production Planning & Control (PPC) Engineer will be responsible for creating, monitoring, and optimizing production schedules to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders while maintaining high quality, cost efficiency, and minimal wastage. This role requires strong coordination across procurement, production, quality, and logistics teams to keep Mahaa's manufacturing operations smooth, scalable, and export-ready.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling

- Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on sales forecasts, confirmed orders, and inventory levels.
- Translate demand requirements into detailed shop-floor schedules, allocating manpower, machines, and tools accordingly.
- Ensure raw material availability (SS circle/coils, components, accessories) by coordinating with procurement and warehouse teams.

Control & Monitoring

- Track production progress vs. plan; identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor machine utilization, efficiency, and downtime; propose improvements to increase throughput.
- Maintain records of production output, rejection, and wastage for analysis.

Coordination & Communication

- Liaise between production, sales, procurement, and dispatch teams for seamless order execution.
- Communicate lead times and delivery commitments to sales/pre-sales teams.
- Support product sampling, bulk order scheduling, and customization requests.

Data, Reporting & Compliance

- Maintain accurate MIS reports on production performance, capacity utilization, and delivery timelines.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with BIS/ISI and export standards in all planned production.

Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering (preferred).
- 10-15 year experience in Production Planning & Control (PPC) in a manufacturing setup (preferably steel, cookware, or FMCG).
- Strong knowledge of production workflows, capacity planning, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP Systems
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and team-working skills.
