Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based or customer orders and delivery commitments. Prepare machine loading plans for to end process requirement. Coordinate with Sales/Marketing, Design, and Procurement teams for smooth order flow.
2. Material & Inventory Planning
Ensure availability of raw materials (paper, hologram, films, inks adhesives, foils, etc.) before production.
Maintain minimum stock levels to avoid production delays. Track consumption vs. plan and monitor wastage
3. Production Monitoring & Control
Track WIP (work-in-progress) and finished goods status daily. Coordinate with Production Supervisors to resolve bottlenecks, Maintain delivery schedules and take corrective action for delays.
4. Coordination & Communication
Liaise with Sales, Purchase, Stores, QA, and Dispatch teams for timely job execution.
Provide regular updates to plant head on production status and delivery commitments.
5. Data Management & Reporting
Maintain production records, machine utilization, and efficiency reports. Analyze data for continuous improvement in productivity and cost reduction. Generate MIS reports for management.
A Raw Material Production Planning and Control (PPC) job involves managing the planning, availability, and optimal use of raw materials to meet production schedules and targets. Key responsibilities include forecasting raw material needs, coordinating with purchasing to ensure timely procurement, managing inventory levels, ensuring material availability on the shop floor, tracking material usage against plans, and reporting on material consumption and waste.
Core Responsibilities
Demand Forecasting:
Analyzing sales and production forecasts to determine the necessary quantities of raw materials required.
Inventory Control:
Monitoring and controlling raw material stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking, ensuring they are maintained at optimal levels to reduce costs and waste.
Procurement Coordination:
Working closely with the purchasing department to release timely schedules for raw material procurement and ensuring effective control over their timely delivery.
Material Availability:
Ensuring that raw materials are available on the production floor when and where needed, coordinating the flow of materials to the shop floor.
Stock Verification:
Regularly verifying physical stock with stores and issuing Material Requisition Slips (MRS) when actual stock falls below the required level.
Usage Monitoring:
Analyzing and tracking actual raw material consumption against planned consumption, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
Reporting:
Preparing management reports (MIS) on material availability, consumption, and inventory levels on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
Material Reconciliation:
Performing monthly reconciliation of raw materials to account for all materials used in production, scrap, and job work.
