Job Description

Prepare and release production plans based on customer demand, forecasts, and order schedules. Coordinate with design, procurement, and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials. Prepare detailed daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules considering machine capacity and manpower availability. Work with the purchase team to ensure raw material availability as per production timelines. Monitor inventory levels, implement JIT (Just-in-Time) practices where applicable. Maintain minimum stock levels and avoid material shortages or excess inventory. Track production progress against plan, identify bottlenecks, and take corrective action. Prepare and circulate MIS reports for management review (production status, WIP, dispatch status). Ensure adherence to quality standards and compliance with Defence industry requirements. Act as a bridge between Production, Quality, Stores, and Procurement teams. Liaise with customer representatives for delivery schedules and updates. Support internal and external audits (ISO, AS9100, Defence QA). Analyze production data to improve process efficiency and reduce lead times. Implement lean manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives where possible. Suggest improvements in planning tools, systems, and processes.

Skills and Experience Required:

Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and inventory control. Familiarity with ERP systems and production tracking software. Knowledge of Defence/aerospace industry standards (preferably). Analytical mindset with problem-solving and decision-making skills. Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Qualification:

Diploma / B.Tech / BE - Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering (preferred)

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹550,000.00 per year
