Production Planning and Control (PPC) Manager/Executive
to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our production planning processes, ensuring efficient resource utilization, timely order fulfillment, and seamless coordination across various departments. Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive production plans, schedules, and forecasts to meet customer demand and optimize production capacity.
Monitor production progress against plans, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to ensure targets are met.
Manage inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to minimize waste and optimize stockholding costs.
Collaborate closely with sales, procurement, and production teams to ensure alignment on production priorities and resolve any bottlenecks.
Analyze production data, identify trends, and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
Utilize advanced Excel functionalities (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) to manage data, create reports, and develop planning tools.
Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for production planning and control, reporting regularly on performance.
Oversee the effective allocation of resources, including labor, machinery, and materials.
Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations throughout the production process.
Lead and mentor a team of production planners, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
6-7 years of progressive experience in production planning and control within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the jewelry or precision manufacturing sector.
Demonstrated expertise in production planning methodologies, capacity planning, and inventory management.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must, including the ability to develop complex spreadsheets, analyze data, and automate tasks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
