Key Responsibilities:
Oversee Production Operations:
Manage daily production activities to ensure timely and efficient production of high-quality furniture products, meeting both company standards and customer demands.
Staff Supervision and Leadership:
Lead, train, and motivate a team of production workers, ensuring optimal performance, adherence to safety regulations, and continuous skill development.
Quality Control:
Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions where necessary to maintain high standards of craftsmanship and design integrity.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement improvements to production workflows, machine utilization, and processes to maximize productivity and reduce waste or downtime.
Scheduling and Resource Allocation:
Develop and manage production schedules, ensuring that production targets are met on time, and that resources (materials, labor, and equipment) are efficiently allocated.
Health and Safety Compliance:
Ensure that all production processes adhere to health and safety regulations and that the team follows safe working practices to minimize accidents or injuries.
Inventory Management:
Oversee the tracking of raw materials and finished products, ensuring adequate stock levels for uninterrupted production.
Performance Reporting:
Track and report on production performance, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) and implementing corrective actions as needed to meet company goals.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a production supervisory/managerial role, with a focus on furniture manufacturing or a related industry.
Leadership:
Proven ability to lead and manage teams, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and team development.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of production processes, machinery, and tools used in furniture manufacturing (e.g., CNC machines, wood processing, upholstery techniques, etc.).
Problem-Solving:
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve production issues quickly and efficiently.
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, upper management, and suppliers.
Organizational Skills:
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Education:
A degree or diploma in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is a plus but not required.
