Production Manager ( Transformer Division )

- 3+ year preferred ( Transformer company experience )

Key Responsibilities:



Production Planning & Control:

Develop and implement production schedules to meet delivery commitments. Allocate resources, manpower, and machines for efficient operations. Monitor workflow and adjust as necessary to meet targets.

Operations Management:

Oversee winding, core assembly, tanking, testing, and final assembly processes. Ensure adherence to transformer manufacturing standards (IS/IEC). Optimize machine utilization and reduce downtime.

Quality Assurance:

Coordinate with the QA team to ensure quality at every stage. Implement corrective and preventive actions for non-conformities. Maintain documentation as per ISO/Quality standards.

Team Management:

Supervise and guide supervisors, engineers, and workers. Train staff in process improvements, safety, and technical skills. Resolve conflicts and improve team productivity.

Cost & Inventory Control:

Monitor raw material (CRGO, copper, oil, etc.) usage to minimize waste. Control production costs while ensuring efficiency. Coordinate with purchase and stores for timely material availability.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

Ensure compliance with safety standards in production areas. Promote lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

Reporting & Coordination:

Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production reports. Coordinate with design, R&D, procurement, and sales teams for smooth operations.

Qualifications & Skills:



Bachelor's degree/Diploma in

Mechanical Engineering

(preferred). 7-12 years of experience in transformer manufacturing (distribution/power transformers). Strong knowledge of transformer production processes & testing standards. Leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Kaizen, or Six Sigma is an advantage. Proficiency in ERP/production planning software.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):



Achievement of monthly production targets. Reduction in rework/rejection rates. On-time delivery performance. Cost reduction and efficiency improvement. Team productivity and retention.
