Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Production Manager to join our Coimbatore operations at Deva Steels Kochi Pvt Ltd, a leading manufacturer of roofing sheets in India. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in production management within a manufacturing environment, preferably involving roll forming or metal fabrication.

The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing day-to-day production operations at the Coimbatore unit. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in metal forming processes, and the ability to drive performance targets related to production, safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities1. Production Operations & Planning

Plan, direct, and coordinate production activities to meet daily and monthly targets.

Ensure optimal utilization of roll-forming machines, shearing machines, and related equipment.

Monitor production workflows and implement efficiency improvements.

Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure minimal machine downtime.

2. Quality Assurance & Compliance

Ensure strict adherence to quality standards for roofing sheets and related products.

Implement quality checks, process audits, and corrective actions where necessary.

Maintain proper documentation related to production, quality, and safety compliance.

3. Team Leadership & Supervision

Lead and manage production operators, technicians, and support staff.

Conduct daily briefings, allocate tasks, and monitor team performance.

Train team members on processes, safety, and quality standards.

4. Safety & Workplace Management

Ensure compliance with all workplace safety regulations and company standards.

Conduct regular safety inspections and promote a culture of safe working practices.

Identify potential hazards and take corrective measures proactively.

5. Documentation & Reporting

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.

Maintain production-related records using MS Word, Excel, and internal systems.

Report operational issues and suggest improvements to the AGM - Operations.

Required Skills & Competencies

Basic knowledge of roll forming machines, shearing machines, and metal fabrication processes.

Understanding of production planning, process optimization, and quality control.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Familiarity with industrial safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

Ability to communicate in English, Tamil, and Hindi (basic level acceptable).
