Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning & Control
Plan, organize, and supervise the daily production schedule.
Allocate manpower, machines, and materials to meet deadlines.
Coordinate with design, procurement, and quality teams for smooth workflow.
2. Process & Quality Management
Ensure production processes adhere to
ISO standards
and safety regulations.
Implement continuous improvement techniques (Lean, Kaizen, 5S).
Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with elevator manufacturing standards.
3. Resource & Team Management
Supervise technicians, welders, fabricators, electricians, and assembly workers.
Train and mentor staff to improve productivity and reduce errors.
Monitor material usage and minimize wastage.
4. Reporting & Documentation
Maintain production reports, shift records, and inventory usage logs.
Track progress against targets and report to management.
Ensure timely dispatch of finished components for erection/installation.
5. Coordination with Other Departments
Work with design/engineering teams for technical clarifications.
Coordinate with purchase and stores for raw material availability.
Liaise with service and erection teams to align production with site requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
Diploma / BE in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering.
Experience:
Minimum
5-10 years in production management
(preferably in elevators, heavy machinery).
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of elevator components manufacturing (guide rails, cabins, doors, control panels).
Strong understanding of welding, fabrication, machining, and electrical assembly.
Familiarity with ERP/production planning tools.
Soft Skills:
Leadership and team management.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Working Conditions:
Factory/production floor environment.
May involve extended hours to meet urgent production deadlines.
Coordination with outstation erection teams for dispatch requirements.
