, while maintaining discipline and operational excellence on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Execution
Prepare and execute
daily, weekly, and monthly production plans
based on confirmed customer orders.
Monitor and improve
loom performance indicators
including:
Pick rate
Loom efficiency
Breakdowns and stoppages
Ensure correct
warp and weft planning
in line with approved designs, patterns, and quality standards.
2. Weaving & Quality Control
Control and reduce fabric defects such as:
Missing picks
Oil stains
Reed marks
Shading and other weaving-related defects
Implement
in-process quality checks
at every stage of production.
Ensure strict adherence to:
Quality SOPs
Buyer specifications
Sample and design approvals
3. Dyed Yarn & Jari Management
Plan
dyed yarn requirements
as per production schedules.
Ensure proper:
Shade matching
Lot control
Batch segregation
Oversee
jari manufacturing operations
, ensuring consistency in quality and availability for weaving.
4. Manpower & Shift Management
Manage operators, masters, supervisors, helpers, and contract labor.
Ensure:
Shift discipline and attendance
Skill-based manpower allocation
Training and development of shop-floor personnel
5. Reporting & Review
Prepare and present:
Daily production reports
Loom efficiency and productivity reports
Rejection and wastage summaries
Review production status and key performance metrics with the
Plant Head / Operations Head
.
6. Cost, Efficiency & Safety
Control production costs through effective resource utilization and waste reduction.
Monitor production KPIs, efficiency metrics, and material consumption.
Ensure safe working practices and compliance with plant safety norms.
Experience & QualificationsExperience
8-15 years
of experience in
textile manufacturing
Mandatory hands-on experience
in:
Saree weaving
Rapier / Water Jet / Air Jet looms
Jari manufacturing
Coloured yarn processing
Education
Diploma / B.Tech in
Textile Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
(or relevant experience-based qualification)
