The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling all manufacturing processes to ensure production targets are met in terms of quality, quantity, cost, and delivery. The role involves managing manpower, machinery, materials, and methods effectively to achieve operational excellence and maintain high standards of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and organize production schedules based on customer requirements and delivery commitments.
Supervise daily production operations and ensure smooth workflow across departments.
Monitor production performance and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Coordinate with the Maintenance, Quality, and Stores departments to minimize downtime and material shortages.
Analyse production data, track KPIs, and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
Manage manpower allocation, shift scheduling, and employee performance in the production area.
Control production costs through effective resource utilization and waste reduction.
Identify training needs and guide production staff to maintain high skill levels and motivation.
Support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, etc.).
Liaise with management and other departments to ensure timely delivery of finished goods.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering (preferred).
20 years of experience in production or manufacturing operations
Strong knowledge of production planning, process control, and quality management systems.
Experience in manpower management and shop floor supervision.
