Position Overview:


The Asst

Production Manager

will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of the production process within our spice manufacturing plant. This role will require close collaboration with various departments, including the store, operations, packing, and management teams. The goal is to ensure smooth, efficient production runs, meet daily and weekly production targets, and maintain high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:



Production Planning & Scheduling:

Plan and coordinate production activities based on the stuffing schedule shared weekly by the management team. Prepare a detailed production plan for the next One - Two days in advance, considering the availability of Raw Materials (RM) and Packing Materials (PM). Provide clear instructions to the team and stakeholders regarding the daily production requirements and ensure the production schedule aligns with the availability of necessary materials. Collaborate with the store and operations management teams to ensure the timely availability of raw materials (RM) and packing materials (PM) required for production.

Material Coordination:

Coordinate with the Packing Material Executive to ensure the availability of necessary packing materials for production. Instruct the store team to load the ETO material every morning as per the production plan for the future.

Production Setups & Execution:

Plan production setups one day before production, based on the available RM and PM list, ensuring maximum efficiency in production operations. Instruct the Packing Material Executive to proceed with batch printing, ensuring all labels and packing materials are prepared ahead of production. Prepare and distribute a setup list for each floor based on production requirements and past experiences to ensure maximum output and efficiency. Instruct the store to deliver raw materials for the morning setups for the next day, ensuring readiness before production begins.

Team Management & Supervision:

Brief the production supervisors and team on the day's production plan before production begins, addressing any queries or concerns. Use your team to deliver pouches, cartons, and other necessary materials for the entire day's production run to the respective supervisors. Ensure the production floor operates in a safe and organized manner, maintaining high levels of productivity and efficiency.

Continuous Monitoring & Reporting:

Monitor and supervise the production process throughout the day, ensuring that targets are met and any deviations are addressed promptly. Maintain regular communication with management regarding the progress of production, including any issues related to material shortages or delays. Implement any necessary adjustments to the production plan to stay on track with overall targets.

Quality & Safety Compliance:

Ensure adherence to quality control procedures and that all products meet the company's quality standards. Follow all safety guidelines and ensure that the production area adheres to health, safety, and environmental standards.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Food Science,

Manufacturing Experience Required

Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in production management, preferably in the food or spice manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of production planning, material coordination, and manufacturing processes. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team. Proficient in using production management software (preferred). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks, solve problems efficiently, and work in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with various teams.
