Job Summary:

As the Production Head of the Pre Engineered Buildings (PEB) manufacturing unit, you will be responsible for setting up and overseeing the entire production process, ensuring the timely and efficient manufacturing of high-quality PEB structures. You will lead a team of production supervisors and workers, optimizing resources, and implementing best practices to meet production targets and maintain product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Management:

- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and project timelines.

- Ensure effective utilization of resources, including raw materials, machinery, and manpower, to achieve production targets.

- Monitor production metrics and implement improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.

2. Quality Control:

- Implement and enforce quality control standards to ensure the production of PEB structures adheres to design specifications and industry standards.

- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.

3. Health and Safety Compliance:

- Ensure a safe working environment by implementing and enforcing safety guidelines and procedures.

- Conduct regular safety training sessions for production staff and enforce safety protocols.

4. Process Improvement:

- Identify areas of improvement in the production process and work with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements.

- Introduce innovative manufacturing techniques and technologies to optimize production efficiency.

5. Team Management:

- Lead, mentor, and motivate the production team, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.

- Conduct performance evaluations and recommend training and development programs for team members.

6. Inventory Management:

- Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished products to avoid production delays or excess inventory costs.

- Collaborate with the supply chain team to maintain optimal inventory levels.

7. Cost Control:

- Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising product quality.

8. Collaboration:

- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration between design and production processes.

- Work with project managers to align production schedules with project milestones.

Budgeting and Cost Estimation:

Assist in the preparation of production budgets and cost estimation for new projects.

Monitor production expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.

Environmental Sustainability:

Promote environmentally friendly practices within the production unit and explore ways to reduce waste and energy consumption.

Crisis Management:

Be prepared to handle production-related crises, such as equipment breakdowns, material shortages, or urgent customer demands, efficiently and effectively.

Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of production activities, including production reports, quality assessments, and employee performance data.

Generate regular production reports for management review.

Innovation and Process Optimization:

Encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the production team, promoting creativity and innovative thinking to enhance processes and increase efficiency.

Adherence to Company Policies:

Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines, promoting a positive work environment.

As the Production Head for the PEB manufacturing unit, your role will be critical in driving the success of the production process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality PEB structures on time and within budget. By fostering a collaborative and efficient production environment, you will contribute to the growth and reputation of the organization within the pre-engineered buildings industry.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

- Proven experience in a similar role within the PEB manufacturing industry.

- Strong knowledge of PEB manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and solve complex production-related issues.

- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet tight production schedules.

- Knowledge of quality control standards and production optimization techniques.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
