Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.
Coordinate with merchandising, planning, sourcing, and quality teams to meet delivery deadlines.
Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
2. Machine Handling & Resource Management
Manage and monitor production floors.
Oversee machine allocation, productivity, and preventive maintenance.
Ensure the right machine mix is available for different styles.
3. Cutting Department Management
Oversee fabric inspection, lay planning, marker making, and cutting operations.
Ensure minimal wastage and optimum fabric utilization.
Coordinate with pattern masters for accuracy and size consistency.
4. Stitching & Sewing Line Management
Set up sewing lines as per product category.
Track hourly production, line balancing, and operator performance.
Troubleshoot technical issues to minimize downtime.
5. Sampling & Product Development
Supervise sampling team for new developments.
Coordinate with designers and merchandisers for fit samples, and approval samples.
Ensure sample quality meets client specifications and timelines.
6. Quality Control & Assurance
Implement in-line and end-line quality checks.
Analyze defects, take corrective actions, and ensure zero-compromise on quality standards.
Work closely with QC team to maintain AQL standards.
7. Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with procurement to ensure raw materials and trims availability.
Work closely with logistics and warehouse teams to manage dispatch timelines.
Represent production department in cross-functional meetings.
9. Compliance, Safety & Documentation
Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety norms, and compliance regulations.
Maintain SOPs, production reports, machine reports, and attendance records.
Track rejection rates, wastage percentages, and production KPIs.
10. Factory Management
Lead and oversee all production operations (cutting, stitching, embroidery, finishing, packing, and dispatch) while managing supervisors, operators, and support staff.
Recruit, train, and evaluate employees to improve skills and efficiency.
Create a positive and safe working environment to reduce turnover and increase productivity.
Preferred candidate profile
Any bachelor's degree. MBA will be good to have
8+ years of experience in Production
Strong knowledge of home textiles or garment production process.
Experience managing large teams and multiple machine setups.
Good command of production planning, timelines, and efficiency improvement.
Sound technical knowledge of sewing machinery and tools.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
