The Precision Stainless Steel Fabrication Shop Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the shop, ensuring high-quality production of stainless-steel components with precision and accuracy. This role involves managing a team of skilled craftsmen, coordinating workflows, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to exacting quality standards while maintaining safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and supervise the production of precision stainless steel fabrications.
Lead and manage a team of welders, fitters, and fabricators, providing training and performance evaluations.
Develop detailed production schedules aligned with customer specifications and delivery deadlines.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, including strict tolerance and precision requirements.
Monitor and maintain equipment calibration and maintenance for accuracy.
Implement and uphold safety policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards.
Collaborate with engineering and design teams to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Control material inventory and coordinate procurement of stainless steel and other materials.
Uphold continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices to optimize productivity.
Prepare and analyze production reports, tracking KPIs related to quality, efficiency, and throughput.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment conducive to high-precision fabrication.
Qualifications:
BE Mechanical / DME with 8-10 year experience in Precision Stainless Steel fabrication
Proven experience in stainless steel fabrication, with a focus on precision work.
Strong understanding of welding, CNC machining, and fabrication techniques specific to stainless steel.
Experience managing production teams in a high-precision manufacturing environment. o Familiarity with quality standards such as ASME, AWS, and ISO.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of inspection tools and measurement devices (callipers, micrometres, gauges , etc.).
Proficiency with fabrication management software and MS Office.
