Job Description

Machining Operations:

Plan and coordinate machining activities, including turning, milling, boring, and grinding operations. Ensure optimal use of CNC, VMC and manual machines, such as lathes, mills, and Special Purpose Machines (SPMs). Monitor production schedules to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining high quality.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and guide machinists, operators, and technicians in the machine shop. Provide technical training and mentorship to improve team skills and productivity. Conduct performance evaluations and address team concerns proactively.

Equipment Maintenance and Optimization:

Coordinate with the maintenance team for routine and preventive maintenance of machining equipment. Ensure that machines are calibrated and functioning efficiently to minimize downtime. Identify opportunities to improve tooling, fixtures, and machining processes.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain records of machine utilization, production metrics, and downtime. Prepare and submit daily and weekly reports to the Production Manager.

Qualifications:

Education:

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

5-10 years of experience in a Managerial role within a Machine shop. Hands-on experience with CNC machines, tooling, and machining processes.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Familiarity with machining software (e.g., CAD/CAM systems).

Pay: ?60,000.00 - ?70,000.00 per month
