Production Manager - Premium Cat Food (Food Technology Specialist)

Production Manager

who understands the science of food and the dynamics of scaling operations while ensuring the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Scale Production:

Lead and optimise daily production activities to meet increasing order volumes without compromising product quality.

Process Design & Optimisation:

Develop, document, and refine production processes for existing and new products including retort, dehydration, and broth-making lines.

Food Safety & Compliance:

Ensure adherence to FSSAI and internal hygiene standards. Prepare for audits and certifications as required.

Team Leadership:

Manage and train a team of production staff, line supervisors, and shift workers to maintain high operational efficiency.

Technology Implementation:

Work with the founders and R&D team to introduce relevant automation, new machines, and process improvements.

Daily Reporting:

Maintain production reports, yield tracking, wastage monitoring, and continuous improvement documentation.

Raw Material Sourcing:

Identify, evaluate, and ensure the procurement of

high-quality, safe, and consistent raw materials

(meat, fish, supplements, etc.).

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Strong background in

food technology

or food engineering. Experience in

small-batch to medium-scale manufacturing

and an ability to scale operations rapidly. Previous experience with

retort processing, dehydration, broth/stock production

, or similar food categories is a plus. Comfortable working in a

startup environment

where systems are still evolving. Excellent team leadership, process management, and problem-solving skills. Passionate about food innovation.

Pay: ?360,000.00 - ?420,000.00 per year
