Position Overview

We are hiring a highly experienced

General Production Manager

for a large-scale

cashew nut processing factory with a daily capacity of 40 tons

.

This role is a

senior EXPAT position

, based full-time in

Mtwara, Tanzania

, and is intended for international professionals with extensive hands-on experience in large cashew processing operations.

The successful candidate will have full authority and responsibility over the entire production process, from

raw cashew nut intake to final packaged product

, ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, and optimal yield.

Key Responsibilities

Overall management of daily production operations in a

40 tons/day cashew processing plant

Full oversight of all processing stages, including:

raw nut receiving, steaming, shelling, drying, peeling, grading, packaging, and dispatch

Production planning, capacity utilization, yield optimization, and waste reduction Ensuring compliance with quality standards, food safety, and hygiene requirements Leading, supervising, and developing large production and technical teams Monitoring production KPIs, breakage levels, output quality, and efficiency ratios Coordinating closely with maintenance, quality control, warehouse, and logistics departments Implementing best practices, process improvements, and operational discipline Reporting directly to company ownership / top management

Required Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 10-15 years of professional experience

in cashew nut processing Proven track record as

Production Manager / Factory Manager / General Manager

in

large-scale cashew factories

Strong preference for candidates with experience in Vietnam or West African countries

(e.g. Ivory Coast, Benin, Ghana, Nigeria, Guinea-Bissau, etc.)

Deep technical knowledge of the

entire cashew processing value chain

, from raw nut to final packed product Strong

leadership, team management, and decision-making skills

Ability to operate in high-capacity, performance-driven manufacturing environments

Fluent English

(spoken and written) Willingness and ability to relocate and work as an

expatriate in Mtwara, Tanzania

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹180,000.00 - ₹320,000.00 per month
