We are looking for a Production Manager to oversee and manage daily food production operations. The ideal candidate will ensure that products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves managing production schedules, coordinating teams, maintaining hygiene standards, and optimizing processes to achieve business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Production Oversight:
Plan, organize, and supervise daily food production activities.
Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Monitor workflow and allocate tasks to production staff efficiently.
Quality Control & Food Safety:
Ensure all food products meet company and regulatory quality standards.
Implement and monitor hygiene, safety, and sanitation procedures as per FSSAI and industry norms.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
Production Planning & Scheduling:
Prepare and manage daily/weekly production schedules to meet demand forecasts.
Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams for timely availability of raw materials and packaging supplies.
Optimize production processes to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
Team Management:
Lead and supervise production staff to ensure smooth operations.
Conduct training for staff on hygiene, safety, and operational standards.
Foster teamwork, motivation, and accountability within the production unit.
Equipment & Maintenance:
Ensure all machinery and production equipment are maintained and in good working condition.
Report and coordinate timely repairs or servicing with the maintenance team.
Inventory Management:
Track and manage raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods inventory.
Ensure minimal wastage and accurate stock reporting.
Health, Safety & Hygiene:
Maintain strict compliance with food industry hygiene and safety standards.
Ensure regular cleaning, sanitation, and pest control activities in production areas.
Conduct safety drills and enforce PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) usage.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate production reports, quality checklists, and staff attendance records.
Provide daily/weekly production performance reports to management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Food Technology, Production Management, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in food production, processing, or manufacturing.
Strong understanding of food safety standards (FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000).
Proven ability to manage production teams and meet operational targets.
Excellent problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
Strong leadership and communication abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and in fast-paced environments.
