The Production Manager plays a critical and strategic role in the organization. This role is responsible for all processes falling under manufacturing- right from the point of receiving all inputs (fabric , trims etc ) to the production, vendor coordination and finally transfer of the apparels on time for Finishing. Planning , execution , coordination, result orientation and leadership capabilities are prerequisites and the key to the success of this role.

This person will be responsible for setting up robust processes, metrics and reports across the production teams and shall ensure adherence to the same.He/She shall create cost effective, scalable, agile processes that can cater to increased production requirements.

Once the sample and the inputs (fabric and trims are handed over), this person shall be responsible for creating and executing the production plan. He/She would collaborate closely with the Business Analyst(s) and the Merchandiser(s) for the same.

This person will be responsible for Quality Assurance with regard to goods being manufactured. He/She needs to ensure that the manufactured apparels (both inhouse and at vendor site) meet the quality benchmarks of FG (quality benchmarks and documentation will also be the accountability by this person). Wherever required, this person will also be responsible for bringing in more robust quality measures to the entire production process

The role involves people/team management. This person would also be responsible for motivating and upskilling his teams and ensuring smooth communication and collaboration at all times.. Effective resource allocation and manpower planning will be an integral part of this role as a people manager. He/She needs to ensure complete and timely handoffs amongst teams to ensure the manufacturing is as per plan.
