Job Description

Production Manager at an elevator company oversees the entire manufacturing process, from scheduling and resource allocation to quality control and safety compliance. They ensure elevator components (sheet metal, electrical) are produced efficiently to meet project deadlines and safety standards. Key responsibilities include managing production staff, reducing operational costs, and maintaining machinery.

Core Responsibilities

Production Planning & Execution:

Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to ensure timely delivery of elevator components.

Quality & Safety Control:

Enforce strict quality standards, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with safety regulations (PPE, SOPs) to maintain a safe, high-quality production environment.

Resource & Team Management:

Supervise production workers, operators, and supervisors; manage manpower allocation, training, and performance evaluations.

Equipment Maintenance:

Monitor machine performance, schedule preventative maintenance, and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.

Cost & Efficiency Optimization:

Implement lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste, control inventory, and manage production budgets to improve efficiency.

Coordination:

Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, and Sales teams to align production with company goals and customer requirements.
