The Production Manager is responsible for managing end-to-end production operations at Parth Prints. This role ensures timely job completion, quality consistency, efficient use of machines and manpower, and smooth coordination with designing, sales, operations, and dispatch teams.
Key Results Areas
1. Production Planning & Execution
Plan and manage daily production schedules based on confirmed job orders.
Allocate machines, manpower, and materials efficiently.
Ensure timely completion of all printing and finishing jobs.
2. Machine & Process Management
Oversee printing and finishing machine operations.
Ensure preventive maintenance and minimize machine breakdowns.
Maintain process discipline and machine efficiency.
3. Quality Control
Ensure output quality matches approved designs and samples.
Conduct quality checks at all production stages.
Minimize rework, wastage, and quality-related issues.
4. Team Management
Supervise machine operators, helpers, and finishing teams.
Ensure discipline, attendance, and skill development.
Train staff on quality standards, SOPs, and safety practices.
5. Material & Inventory Coordination
Coordinate availability of paper, ink, plates, and consumables.
Monitor material usage and reduce wastage.
Communicate material requirements to operations/purchase teams.
6. Inter-Department Coordination
Work closely with designing team for file clarity and approvals.
Update sales and operations teams on job status and timelines.
Coordinate with dispatch for timely delivery.
7. Reporting & Documentation
Maintain daily production reports, job sheets, and wastage records.
Report production issues and corrective actions to management.
8. Safety & Workplace Discipline
Ensure safety norms, cleanliness, and 5S standards on the shop floor
Maintain a disciplined production environment.
Skills Required
Technical & Functional Skills
Strong knowledge of offset and digital printing processes.
Understanding of pre-press, printing, finishing, and binding operations.
Ability to identify and resolve printing defects and quality issues.
Knowledge of machine maintenance basics and troubleshooting.
