Job Summary:

The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process of CRGO (Cold Rolled Grain Oriented) electrical steel, ensuring high-quality output, process efficiency, and compliance with safety and quality standards. The role requires a deep understanding of CRGO processing, including cold rolling, annealing, coating, slitting, and material testing.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and control production operations to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets. Monitor and optimize production parameters specific to CRGO steel (e.g., grain orientation, magnetic loss, texture development). Supervise processes such as decarburization, cold rolling, annealing, and coating to ensure consistency and quality. Lead initiatives to improve process yield, reduce wastage, and enhance energy efficiency. Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and R&D teams for process improvements and defect reduction. Ensure adherence to ISO standards, environmental norms, and safety regulations. Manage manpower planning, training, and performance of production staff. Prepare production reports, downtime analysis, and process improvement plans. Liaise with procurement and logistics for raw material and dispatch coordination.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

B.Tech / B.E. in Metallurgy, Mechanical, or Production Engineering.

Experience:

Minimum 5-8 years of experience in CRGO or electrical steel production, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role. In-depth knowledge of CRGO manufacturing processes (rolling, annealing, coating, slitting). Familiar with quality systems such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or equivalent. Experience in using ERP systems and production management tools.
