Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented

Production Manager

to oversee daily manufacturing operations and ensure efficient, high-quality production. In addition to leading production teams and coordinating workflow, this role will involve handling key purchasing responsibilities, such as sourcing raw materials, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring timely procurement to avoid production delays.

Key Responsibilities: Production Management:

Plan, coordinate, and control manufacturing processes to meet production targets. Supervise and support production staff to ensure high performance and compliance with safety and quality standards. Optimize production schedules and workflow to minimize downtime and waste. Maintain and enforce health, safety, and quality control policies. Track key production metrics (output, efficiency, waste) and generate regular performance reports. Troubleshoot issues in production and implement corrective measures.

Purchasing & Procurement:

Collaborate with the procurement or finance team to forecast material requirements based on production schedules. Source and negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best pricing, quality, and delivery timelines. Maintain accurate inventory levels and initiate purchase orders to prevent stockouts or overstock. Monitor vendor performance and develop strong supplier relationships. Manage procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies and standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field. Proven experience (2+ years) in production management; experience with procurement or purchasing is a strong asset. Strong leadership and team management skills. Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and lean principles. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
