Key Responsibilities
Production Planning and Execution:Planning and controlling all stages of the forging process to meet production targets and deadlines.
Staff Management:Supervising and coordinating the production team, including operators and other workers.
Quality Control:Implementing and monitoring quality control measures to ensure that produced forgings meet specifications and industry standards.
Operational Efficiency:Driving initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize waste in the production process.
Safety and Compliance:Ensuring the production floor adheres to safety protocols and statutory regulations.
Troubleshooting:Identifying and resolving production-related issues, such as equipment malfunctions or quality defects, to minimize downtime.
Resource Allocation:Managing and allocating resources effectively, including materials, machinery, and personnel.
Reporting:Maintaining production records and reports, often including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like yield, rejection rates, and productivity.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Industry Knowledge:A strong understanding of the forging machining process on CNC & VMC Machining Die & Components.
Technical Skills:Familiarity with engineering drawings, and possibly design CAM software like Delcam, Autocad.
Having a knowledge to understand CNC & VMC Machining Programs
Experience:Significant experience in a manufacturing forging environment, often with a Mechanical engineering background.
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Tool Engineering or equivalent.
6-10 years of experience in CAM programming for CNC, VMC machines
Strong hands-on experience with CAM Software like DELCAM.
Good understanding of manufacturing processes, GD&T, and material properties.
Knowledge of CNC, VMC machine operation, tooling, and fixturing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models (Delcam, AutoCAD, etc.).
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Leadership and Supervision:Ability to lead and manage a team of production staff.
Problem-Solving:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges.
Cost Management:Experience in controlling production costs and improving overall operational expenses.
