Role SummaryLead and manage all aspects of wooden toy manufacturing, ensuring efficient production, high-quality products, cost control, and adherence to safety and environmental standards, driving continuous improvement in processes and team performance.Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling:

Develop and execute production schedules, coordinating with sales and design for project timelines and resource allocation.

Operations Management:

Oversee daily shop floor activities, including cutting, shaping, sanding, painting, assembly, and packaging, optimizing workflow and machine utilization.

Team Leadership:

Supervise, train, motivate, and manage production staff (operators, inspectors) to meet targets, maintain discipline, and foster skill development.

Quality Assurance:

Implement quality checks at every stage, analyze root causes for defects, and ensure products meet specifications and safety standards (e.g., toy safety regs).

Inventory & Procurement:

Coordinate with purchasing for timely raw material (wood, paint, hardware) availability, managing wood inventory effectively.

Process Improvement:

Champion Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and other initiatives to reduce waste, lower costs, improve efficiency, and optimize cycle times.

Maintenance & Safety:

Develop equipment maintenance plans, ensure machinery runs smoothly, and enforce strict health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Reporting & Coordination:

Report progress to management, highlight technical issues, and collaborate with design, sales, stores, and maintenance.
Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience in production management, preferably in wood products or toy manufacturing. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of wood machining, finishing, assembly processes, and quality control. Familiarity with Lean principles, safety regulations (e.g., toy safety, environmental). Ability to manage teams, budgets, and deadlines effectively.
