About the Role

We are looking for a Quality Controller to ensure that all products manufactured meet the company's and industry's quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections, testing raw materials and finished goods, monitoring production processes, and ensuring compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, ISO, and GMP guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Inspection & Monitoring

Inspect raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Conduct routine sampling, testing, and analysis of batches as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Identify quality deviations or defects and coordinate with production teams for corrective actions.

Ensure consistent product quality, packaging, labeling, and shelf-life standards.

2. Process Control & Documentation

Monitor the production line to ensure hygiene, safety, and process parameters are maintained.

Record all inspection results accurately and maintain up-to-date quality documentation and reports.

Verify and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), checklists, and testing logs.

Support internal and external quality audits with complete documentation and compliance reports.

3. Compliance & Food Safety

Ensure adherence to FSSAI, GMP, and HACCP requirements throughout the production process.

Participate in the implementation and monitoring of food safety programs and corrective action plans.

Ensure all testing equipment and instruments are calibrated and maintained regularly.

4. Hygiene & Sanitation Oversight

Check and verify that hygiene standards are maintained in production and storage areas.

Conduct routine inspections of cleaning and sanitation processes to ensure compliance.

Ensure personnel follow hygiene protocols, including the use of protective clothing, gloves, and hairnets.

5. Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve product quality, reduce wastage, and enhance production efficiency.

Participate in product development and shelf-life studies.

Provide training and awareness sessions for production staff on quality and food safety practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education: B.Sc / M.Sc in Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related discipline.

Experience: 1-3 years in quality control/assurance within the FMCG or food manufacturing industry.

Strong understanding of food safety standards (FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000).

Knowledge of testing procedures, sampling methods, and sensory evaluation.

Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with quality documentation tools.

Excellent observation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high-quality standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
