- Lead Engineer / Manager (LV Marine Switchboard Manufacturing)

We are setting up a new

LV Marine Switchboard Manufacturing Unit

and seeking an experienced professional to lead the complete factory establishment and production operations. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in

LV panel manufacturing

,

IEC standards

,

marine class rules

, and hands-on experience in

factory setup, production management, QA/QC, and FAT

.

Key Responsibilities

Establish and lead the LV switchboard manufacturing facility. Prepare factory layout, workflow, and zone planning (fabrication, wiring, busbar, testing, QC, stores). Identify and procure machinery, tools, jigs, and equipment. Prepare CAPEX/OPEX and resource planning. Guide engineering on SLD, GA drawings, schematics, BOQ, and material selection. Supervise panel fabrication, busbar work, wiring, assembly, QC, and routine testing. Ensure compliance with

IEC 61439, IEC 60092, IEC 60947, IEC 60529

, and marine class rules (ABS, DNV, BV, LR, RINA). Plan and execute FAT, prepare protocols, and manage inspection reports. Develop SOPs, QA/QC plans, ITPs, and inspection processes. Lead client and class society inspections and close punch points. Develop suppliers and coordinate with OEMs (Schneider, ABB, Siemens, LS, Danfoss). Ensure material traceability and incoming QC. Build and lead a team of technicians, fabricators, wiremen, supervisors, and QC engineers. Drive continuous improvement through Lean, Kaizen, and 5S.

Qualifications

Bachelor's/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

8-15 years' experience

in LV switchboard manufacturing (marine/industrial). Strong knowledge of IEC standards and marine class requirements. Hands-on experience in FAT, busbar design, routine testing, and assembly.

Skills

Strong project and production management skills. Workflow design and manhour optimization. Excellent troubleshooting and leadership skills. Experience in vendor development and material planning.
